Mentorship

Thank you to everyone who applied for the 2022 Reinhilde Cammaert Memorial Scholarship. We were thrilled to receive a large number of excellent applications from across Ontario, and privileged to have a chance to learn about your projects.

Congratulations to Bryen Fulcher (Cambridge), and Beth Rosell (Timmins), who are this year’s Scholarship recipients and will be working with Hollay Ghadery and David Brock, respectively. We look forward to catching up with each of them in the spring to hear more about their experiences.

Stay tuned for our next call for applications in 2023.

About the Reinhilde Cammaert Memorial Writing Scholarship

Reinhilde Cammaert

This scholarship provides support for an InkWell writer to work on a book-length manuscript with the mentorship of one of our instructors over a three month period.

Reinhilde Cammaert left us a legacy of courage and fight in the face of mental struggles. She also left us an inheritance that benefited her two closest charities and her five siblings. It is our privilege to pass on some of this inheritance to InkWell. Reinhilde would be proud to support writers who use their craft to overcome their challenges and who share their craft to bring a greater understanding to the world. She looked out into the world and she made sense of it and her place in it. She was deeply engaged with her loved ones and she had great empathy for those who suffered. —Thanasis and Bieke Stengos
